Postbiotics represent a new generation. They are bioactive compounds produced by microorganisms, delivered without the need for live cells. This shift has major implications.
Postbiotics enable a level of precision and reliability that was previously difficult to achieve in microbiome-based interventions.
In practical terms, this means:

Cardiometabolic disease affects hundreds of millions of people worldwide, yet most current approaches are still focused on managing symptoms rather than addressing underlying mechanisms.
At Genbioma, we believe the gut microbiome holds a critical part of that missing link.
Our mission is to translate that complexity into clinically validated solutions — designed to improve how metabolic disease is prevented, managed and understood.
This is not about adding more noise to an already saturated space. It’s about building solutions that are grounded in science, validated in humans, and ready to work in the real world.

The microbiome is one of the most complex systems in the human body. Turning it into something useful requires more than discovery — it requires a way to connect biology, data and real-world application.
At the core of Genbioma is a proprietary development platform that brings these elements together.
By combining AI-driven screening with deep multi-omics analysis and clinical validation, we accelerate the path from insight to impact.
What typically takes years can now happen in months.
What often remains theoretical is tested in humans early.
What rarely leaves the lab is designed to scale from the start.
Our approach is built around three principles:
Accelerating discovery without compromising scientific depth
Accelerating discovery without compromising scientific depth
Identifying what works before resources are overcommitted
Designing solutions that can be manufactured, distributed and applied at scale
The result is a more efficient, lower-risk path to clinically relevant microbiome-based solutions.
Genbioma began with a question: If the microbiome holds so much promise, why isn’t it translating into real, usable solutions?
Founded in 2019 as a spin-off of the Public University of Navarra, the company brings together decades of experience in microbiology, food innovation and biotechnology.
From the beginning, the focus was clear — not just to explore the science, but to make it actionable.
Over the years, that vision has taken shape through a structured progression:

Today, Genbioma operates at the intersection of science and application — with a growing pipeline of solutions designed to address cardiometabolic health at scale.
We are no longer asking the question. We are building the answer.
